Kindle vs Real Book

Have you ever heard of a Kindle? It’s an ebook reader, a device made to read ebooks. You might be wondering why you wouldn’t just get real books. Well, I have a Kindle and these are all the reasons that I prefer it.

Space

If you are a frequent reader, you know how books can take up a lot of space, especially if you read a lot. A Kindle enables you to have thousands of books all in one compact device. This is also good if you are going somewhere, or if you like to bring your book in the car, or on the go.

Price of Ebooks

Surprisingly, ebooks cost less than normal books! If you are constantly buying new books than that will be very helpful. Since Amazon makes the Kindles, if you are a Prime member, you will be able to get some books for free. Also, there is an app called Libby. If you sign in with your library card, then you’ll be able to access library books from home! Best of all, they are ebooks and you can easily send them to your Kindle from the app. This is helpful if you like to go to the library, and rely on it for most of your books. Plus, if you finish a book, you won’t have to go to the bookstore or online and wait for your book, you can buy them or check the book out instantly.

E-Ink

You might be wondering if a Kindle is bad for your eyes, like other devices. But Kindles use special technology called e-ink, which uses actual ink particles in the screen. You probably won’t notice the difference between the Kindle and a page of a book. Also, all Kindles have backlights you can turn on if you are in a dark environment, and the Kindle Oasis even has a warm light that’s more easy on your eyes.

Wrap-Up

Those are the reasons I (among many other people) prefer ebooks instead of books.
